1. Overview

StyleUP ("we", "our", or "us") is a Shopify application that helps merchants increase conversion rates through product bundles, upsells, promotional banners, sections & blocks, and EU product safety (GPSR) compliance tools. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.

2. Data We Collect

2.1 Merchant Data (Store Owners & Staff)

When you install StyleUP, Shopify provides us with basic account information via OAuth, including:

• Shop domain (e.g. your-store.myshopify.com)
• Account owner name and email address
• Shopify access token (used to make API calls on your behalf)

We also store the configuration you create within StyleUP:

• Bundle, upsell, and banner configurations
• Theme sections & blocks settings
• GPSR (product safety) profile data you enter (manufacturer details, product information)
• Onboarding preferences and app settings

2.2 Analytics Data

We collect anonymous performance data to show you bundle statistics:

• Order IDs and variant IDs from completed purchases (to attribute revenue to bundles)
• Event counts (views, add-to-cart, purchases) per bundle

We do not store buyer names, email addresses, shipping addresses, or payment information. All analytics data is anonymous and linked only to your shop domain and bundle IDs.

2.3 Support Data

If you submit a support ticket or feature request through the app, we store the subject, description, and any messages in the conversation thread. This data is linked to your shop domain and used solely to respond to your request.

3. How We Use Your Data

• Providing the service: Your configuration data is used to display StyleUP features (bundles, upsells, banners, sections) in your store.
• Analytics: Order and variant IDs are used to calculate revenue attribution and conversion metrics shown in your dashboard.
• Support: Contact information and ticket data are used to respond to your support requests.
• Billing: Subscription management is handled entirely by Shopify's Billing API. We do not store payment card details.

We do not sell your data to third parties.

4. Data Sharing & Third Parties

We share data with the following third-party services to operate StyleUP:

• Shopify: As a Shopify app, all data flows through Shopify's platform. See Shopify's Privacy Policy.
• Heroku / AWS: Our app server and PostgreSQL database are hosted on Heroku (AWS infrastructure, EU West region). Data is encrypted at rest and in transit.
• Cloudinary: Images uploaded for GPSR profiles or upsell offers may be stored on Cloudinary's CDN. See Cloudinary's Privacy Policy.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

Your data is retained for as long as StyleUP is installed on your store. When you uninstall the app:

• Your active session is deleted immediately upon uninstall.
• All remaining data (bundles, upsells, banners, GPSR profiles, analytics, tickets) is permanently deleted within 48 hours, in compliance with Shopify's mandatory SHOP_REDACT webhook requirement.

You may also request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at the address below.

6. Buyer / Customer Data

StyleUP does not collect, store, or process personal data about your store's buyers (customers). We do not have access to buyer names, email addresses, shipping addresses, or payment information.

The only buyer-related data we hold is anonymous order IDs used for bundle analytics — these cannot be used to identify any individual.

7. Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS (TLS). Our database uses encrypted connections and is hosted on Heroku's managed PostgreSQL service. Shopify access tokens are stored securely and used only to make authorised API calls on your behalf.

8. Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Object to or restrict our processing of your data
• Data portability

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify merchants of material changes via the StyleUP app interface. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
